American power forward Nathan Knight (208-1997, college: William & Mary) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-1991) chipped in 17 points. At the losing side Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) responded with 21 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists and Filipino forward Carl Tamayo (200-2001) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
